How much does a faceless YouTube video cost?

What goes into the price of a faceless documentary or explainer video, and how to budget for a channel.

What you are actually paying for

A finished faceless video is five jobs in one: research and script, voiceover, editing with sound design, thumbnail, and upload metadata. Freelancers usually price these separately; studios bundle them per video or per month.

Typical price ranges on freelance marketplaces

On marketplaces like Upwork and Fiverr you will see scripts from roughly $25–80, thumbnails from $15–35, and full long-form videos from around $100 upward, with full channel management packages costing several hundred to a few thousand dollars per month. Prices rise with length, research depth, motion graphics and licensed footage.

What makes a video more expensive

Custom animated maps and data graphics, archive footage that needs licensing, multiple revision rounds, rush delivery and premium voices all add cost. Asking for a reference style up front avoids paying for revisions later.

How to budget for a channel

Most channels need consistency more than perfection. Four videos a month for three months tells you far more about a niche than one expensive video. Start with a single test video, then move to a monthly package once the style is locked.

Our pricing

Our single video starts at $120 and our Channel package is $450 per month for four videos with Shorts. See the packages page for details.
